Privacy Policy

Paperwing ("we") provides the Paperwing Invoices app for Shopify stores and this website. Questions about this policy: support@paperwing.app.
Data we process in the app
- Store information: your shop domain and the seller details you enter in settings — business name, address lines, footer text, and logo.
- Order data, received from Shopify webhooks when an order is created or paid: order number, line items, prices, discounts, taxes, currency, billing and shipping address, buyer name and email, and buyer VAT ID when provided. We store this as an immutable snapshot so your invoice never changes after the fact, and render it into PDF invoices.
- Email delivery: if you enable auto-send, we send the invoice PDF to your buyer through our email provider and record delivery status.
- AI template designer: your design description and optional reference image are sent to our AI provider to generate a template. Order and customer data are never sent to AI providers, and we never train AI models on your data or your customers' data.
What we never do
We do not sell data, show ads, or use merchant or customer data for anything except producing your invoices.
Retention and deletion
Invoice data is kept while the app is installed so your records stay complete. We honor Shopify's GDPR webhooks: customer data requests, customer redaction, and full shop redaction after uninstall are processed automatically.
